For tonight's Net, we have a Mixed Bag of 3 Trivia Questions about the 1960s' Fab Four -- no, not The Beatles -- but The Monkees.
On this day in 1966, the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) "green-lights" a new TV show for it's 1966 fall schedule.
Named The Monkees, the show was intended as a made-for-TV knockoff of other famous "Pop" music groups like the The Beatles. In the show, the four unfamous musicians would encounter girls, mayhem, and adventures -- all accompanied with songs written by the likes of Neil Diamond, Carolyn King, and other 1960s' Pop icons.
On Monday, Sept 5, 1966, The Monkees debutted on NBC during that historic TV week which also saw the first episode of Star Trek on Thursday, Sept 8th. And after just two TV seasons, The Monkees was cancelled by NBC at the end of 1967.
So, how much do you know about the phenomenon known as The Monkees? Please give us your best answers from any of the 3 (reuseable) answers of "A", "B", or "C" (if applicable!) for each question.
