2016 Chinese Zodiac Sign: Red Fire Monkey
For Shelley and LW, the past year -- 2015 -- was a pretty
good year with many happy times and only a few sad or
disappointing moments. We both hope you had an even better 2015 than we did -- as well, as an even better New Year -- 2016 -- to come!
Accordingly, for tonight's questions, we wonder what's up with 2016 -- just the basics.
Please choose your answers from any of the 3 (reuseable) answers of "A", "B", or "C" (if applicable!) for each question.
So, have a Happy on us!

Question #1: 2016 is a Leap Year -- TRUE or FALSE?
A. True, or
B. False
What is a Leap year?
A leap year has 366 days, as opposed to a common year, which has 365. Nearly every 4 years is a Leap Year, and we add a Leap Day, an extra – or intercalary – day on February 29.
Leap years have 29 days in February, not 28.
The next Leap Year is 2016, so the next Leap Day falls on February 29, 2016.
The last Leap Year was on February 29, 2012.

A. Rat, or
B. Monkey, or
C.
I couldn't find a Red Fire Monkey, so here's the best I could do (orangutan?)
We have officially welcomed in 2016 but for the Chinese Zodiac New Year is yet to come.
This year it falls on February 8, and will be welcoming in the Year of the Monkey.
Based on the lunar calendar Chinese New Year always falls between late January and mid-February and each year is represented by a different animal.
There are 12 animals in total in the Chinese Zodiac, and this year is the turn of the Red Fire Monkey.
But that is bad news for people born in the Year of the Monkey as it is believed during their birth year people offend Tai Sui, the God of Age, and so they have to be extra careful and do no wrong.
People born in 2004, 1992, 1980, 1968, 1956, 1944, 1932 and 1920 were born in the Year of the Monkey - unless their birthday is in the beginning of January and they were born in the Chinese Year of the Ram.
Chinese New Year is normally celebrated by the lighting of firecrackers and watching traditional lion dances.
Children are also often given 'lucky money' stuffed into red envelopes as a New year gift.

A. MMXIIIIII, or
B. MMVXI, or
C. MMXVI
M = 1000, X = 10, V = 5, I = 1; thus, M+M+X+V+I = 1000+1000+10+5+1 = 2016
The other 2 answers are nonsense as Roman Numerals....
