2015[35]Q -- Ins-Net Qs for Aug 28, 2015: "It's Birdy Call Time"

Insomniac-Net Questions -- Friday[35], Aug 28, 2015
Tonight's Topic: "It's Birdy Call Time"
Good morning/evening, everybody! Thank you for joining us tonight.
We hope you'll discover something interesting during the time we spend together on the Insomniac Net for the next 90+ minutes.
-- The ever-delightful Shelley [KF7TBA] and just plain old LW [K7LWA] (email K7LWA.INS@gmail.com).
(Please Note: The Net Controller's Answers are always CORRECT (even if they aren't every time!)
Please check out Winsystem's Insomniac Trivia Net page.

This summer has been very good for bird watching -- especially in the Peoples' Republic of Seatac.
Besides the usual gangs of chickadees, the hordes of goldfinches, and buzzing hummingbirds; there have been some new birds visiting our backyard this summer.
Perhaps it is due to El Niño: causing longer than usual and multiple breeding seasons, or more insect food earlier, or even perhaps its the result of the many wildfires.
Or, just pehaps, it's due to LW's obsessive tweaking of his red Audubon Bird Call device with brain-numbing bird tweets, screeches, and twitters with every twist*.

The Audubon Bird Call consist of a semi-hollowed, birchwood wooden cylinder, inlaid with a zinc collar, and a ring grip assembly (attached by a screw) which produces "bird-like sounds" when "twisted" against the metal collar.
(Note: You have probably seen one of the Audubon Bird Calls; but if not, you can see LW's at tonight's Blog entry here.)     So, accordingly, for tonight's questions, how much more do you know about the... Audubon Bird Call device?
Please choose from any of the 3 (reuseable) answers of "A", "B",  or "C" (if applicable!) for each questions listed below.
Good Luck and remember YOU are always a WINNER with us, regardless of your actual answers!
OK, drop the hashtag and let's get twittering!
++ "It's Birdy Call Time" ++
Question #1: How does the Audubon Bird Call attract birds?*
        A. A How To Make 10 "Common Bird Songs" Booklet is included that shows you how to make simple birdsongs, or
        B. It mimics specific birdcalls, or
        C. It creates a tweeting noise that curious birds recognize and investigate
Question #2: How many different colors can you get the Audubon Bird Call in?
        A. Just one -- red, or
        B. Just two -- red and birch, or
        C. Seven colors (of the rainbow -- can you name them?)
Question #3: Sometimes the Audubon Bird Call will "lose its voice". To fix this, you will need to rub what on the zinc collar?
        A. Any vegetable oil, or
        B. 3-in-1 Mechanic's Oil, or
        C. Rosin (like baseball players and gymnasts use)

++ QUOTES OF THE DAY ++  -- from a Chinese Proverb:
"A bird does not sing because it has an answer.  It sings because it has a song."
