Tonight's Topic: "North To Alaska" -- Part 2: Alaskan Slang"
Good morning/evening, everybody! Thank you for joining us tonight.
We hope you'll discover something interesting during the time we spend together on the Insomniac Net for the next 90+ minutes.
-- The ever-delightful Shelley [KF7TBA] and just plain old LW [K7LWA] (email K7LWA.INS@gmail.com).
(Please Note: The Net Controller's Answers are always CORRECT (even if they aren't every time!)

If you were with us last Friday, we asked some questions about what we learned on our trip to sunny Alaska several weeks ago.
Well, before we move on to other things, we wanted to revisit -- our visit: North to the Kenai Peninsula,
Seward, Anchorage, and other south-central Alaskan areas around the Cook Inlet -- one more time.
On our trip, we learned a lot about Alaska (in general), including some common Alaskan Slang
-- which is tonight's True-or-False ("TorF") topic.
So, how much Alaskan Slang do you know?
Please give us your best answer for each of the following 3 TRUE or FALSE questions, by using the (reuseable) answers of "A"=TRUE or "B"=FALSE.
Good Luck and remember, YOU are always a WINNER with us, regardless of your actual answers!
 ++ Tonight's Topic: "North To Alaska" -- Part 2: Alaskan Slang ++

Question #1: Outside is Alaskan Slang for any place in Alaska that does not sell liquor, beer, wine, or other alcoholic beverages -- True or False?
"L, Dad & I are ready for our Aialik Glacier Margaritas, so we'll be here when you get back...."
        A. True, or
        B. False
Question #2: Alpenglow is Alaskan Slang for the pink glow on mountain peaks at sunset -- True or False?

        A. True, or
        B. False
Question #3: Termination dust is Alaskan Slang for the first snowfall that sticks on top of the mountains each year -- True or False?
        A. True, or
        B. False
[SOURCE: TBA -- LW's tons of phamphlets, tourist mags, maps, told-you-sos, propaganda, and other stuff found at the Anchorage Airport, stuffed in suitcases during arrival, but now sitting in a pile in the middle of the litter box -- oh, the inhumanity of killing all those trees!]
A Special Thank You to Anchorage's Mickey the Moose, for providing the ANSWER sequence tonight.

++ QUOTES OF THE DAY ++  -- lyrics from "North to Alaska" by Johnny Horton (repeat, D'oh!)
Where the river is windin'
Big nuggets they're findin'
North to Alaska
They go North, the rush is on

A-way up north (north to Alaska)
Way up north (north to Alaska)
North to Alaska
They go north, the rush is on
North to Alaska
They go north the rush is on
